LEGENDARY COACH, SKIP STOLLEY, TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE MT. SAC RELAYS HALL OF FAME
(WALNUT, CA)–The Mt. SAC Relays Coaches Hall of Fame will be joined this year by legendary coach, Skip Stolley, of the VS Athletics Track Club. Stolley, a native of Illinois, has been a fixture of the Southern California track & field community for more than two decades. He will join a short list of coaches who have made a tremendous impact on the sport of track and field and the Mt. SAC Relays. He will be inducted on Wednesday, April 15th at the Mt. SAC Relays Banquet which will be held at the Pacific Palms Conference Resort (click here for banquet information).

2004 MEN'S POLE VAULT OLYMPIC SILVER MEDALIST TOBY STEVENSON TO OPEN SEASON AT THE MT. SAC RELAYS
(WALNUT, CA) – 2004 Men's Pole Vault Olympic Silver Medalist Toby Stevenson will kick off his 2009 season at the Mt. SAC Relays. Stevenson one of the most colorful and popular track and field figures in the world is a three time Mt. SAC Relays Champion. An avid supporter of the Relays, Stevenson is known for his entertaining celebrations and his signature black helmet which according to him "protects his Stanford education."

IRAQ WAR VETERAN AND PARALYMPIC HOPEFUL JERROD FIELDS TO COMPETE AT
THE MT. SAC RELAYS
(WALNUT, CA) – Sergeant Jerrod Fields, a Paralympic hopeful and resident athlete at the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center, plans to kickoff his outdoor competition schedule at the 2009 Mt. SAC Relays. Fields, who is an active duty soldier with the U.S. Army, lost his leg below-the-knee in 2005 after his vehicle was hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) while stationed in Iraq.

NEW FACILITIES NEAR COMPLETION FOR THE MT. SAC RELAYS
(WALNUT, CA) - This year the Mt. SAC Relays will christen new "world class" facilties/surfaces in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, Javelin, Pole Vault and Shot Put. The D Apron (High Jump, Javelin), infield runways (2 Long/Triple Jump, Pole Vault) and infield bench areas feature brand new surfaces. On the south field a new Shot Put Stadium and new 48" wide Pole Vault Runway have been installed as well.

OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST, ALLYSON FELIX, TO START 2009 SEASON AT THE MT. SAC RELAYS
(WALNUT, CA) - Allyson Felix, two time Olympic Silver Medalist in the 200 Meters and Olympic Gold Medalist in the 2008 Women's 4X400M Relay once again plans to start her 2009 outdoor campaign at the Mt. SAC Relays. On her IAAF blog, Felix states that she has not yet made her "race schedule for this season yet but I know I will compete in the 100M, 200M and 400M all at some point during the season."

LEGENDARY NFL, TRACK AND ACTING STAR, WILLIE GAULT, TO RUN AT THE 2009 MT. SAC RELAYS
(WALNUT, CA) - Willie Gault, the legendary star of track, football and acting is set to run the open 100 and 200 Meters at the 51st Annual Mt. SAC Relays. Gault, a 1983 World Championship Gold Medalist in the 4X100M Relay and Bronze Medalist in the 110M High Hurdles, was also a member of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team.

AMERICAN 110 METER HURDLE RECORD HOLDER, DOMINIQUE ARNOLD, TO OPEN 2009 SEASON AT THE MT. SAC RELAYS
(WALNUT, CA) - American 110 Meter Hurdle Record Holder, Dominique Arnold will open his 2009 campaign at the 51st Annual Mt. SAC Relays on April 18th, 2009. Arnold set the American Record of 12.90 seconds in Lausanne, Switzerland in 2006. He is a former NCAA Champion out of Washington State University, 2006 US Outdoor Champion and the 2006 World Indoor Championship 60 Meter Hurdles Bronze Medalist.
